Sugar Foot Farm is interested in providing a co-op placement opportunity to a young person from a local high school. The placement would involve everyday equine facility management tasks and would also include excersizing horses and training young horses. The co-op candidate must have horsemanship experience. If you are interested please contact Delena Jennings at sugarfootfarm@rogers.com. Please provide an overview of your experience and the CO-OP education contact from your local high school.

Rachel just finished her 4 credit co-op at Sugar Foot Farm and here is what she has to say;“Doing my co-op at Sugar Foot has been a great opportunity. I had a very good time during my co-op placement. I learned new things everyday. During my co-op I learned how to take and record horse’s temperature, pulse and respiration (vitals). I got to take part in and learn lots of things when the vet or farrier came. I also gained tons of riding experience by spending lots of time working with the horses. I helped do things like checking the fences, feeding and paperwork and charting. I gained lots of experience by being on the farm. By doing my co-op at Sugar Foot I have become a better rider and I now know lots of information about horses. Doing co-op at Sugar Foot is a great experience and lots of fun.”
